Projects that include direct current fast chargers (DCFC) can receive up to $70,000 per port in grant funding. These projects are best suited for travel plazas and large shopping centers. Grant funds are capped at 80% of project total. Large DCFC projects require new specialized electric service from the utility which is very costly and time consuming.
